This unit is made from tulipwood and oak: tulipwood for the base (or frame) due to its beautiful finish and durability; and oak for the worktop because of is characterful and unique appearance. The oak will need a little treatment of course (we have included a guide on how best to do that) but both will live long and happily in the bathroom.

Care Guide

We take great pride in the quality of our paint finishes and our low sheen, water-based paint gives an eggshell like finish, which is perfectly suited for bathrooms. Our paint also contains a lacquer, which gives the furniture protection to ensure it stands the test of time, again making it perfect for bathroom use.

Our oak tops are taken through a 5-stage process to give a smooth, high quality finish that provides protection against constant exposure to water (our tops will need a little tlc of course – please see our care guide on how best to do this).

Oak processing process:

1. The first sand is undertaken to remove any roughness and impurities
2. Your choice of stain is then applied to give the finish you are looking for
3. 2 coats of sealer follow to provide a strong base for protection
4. A fine sand is then performed to ensure of a smooth finish
5. Lacquer is the last stage, which provides the final layer of protection
